1910 — William D. Boyce of Chicago incorporates the Boy Scouts of America, a youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. Sadly the mission will be lost years from now when participation in the organization becomes selective based upon seemingly random criteria such as religious beliefs, and who its members love.
